Investment Bank is seeking an experienced leader in the field of equities and fixed income to lead the risk management of its cash products (equities, security lending, corporate bonds-investment grade and high yield, convertible bonds, treasuries and agencies) and similar exposures. The jobholder will play an active role in the development and management of the firm's risk analysis, measurement, and monitoring functions.

Job Responsibilities Market Risk Officer will report to the Head of Market Risk. The Market Risk Officer will be part of the risk management team that collectively will be responsible for the following:

* Analyze and communicate both the market price risk and fundamental value risk of the firm’s cash products risk exposures;
* Assist in valuation and price verification of cash products;
* Monitor the Bank's risk exposures on an ongoing basis.

Specifically, the Market Risk Officer will be responsible for the following activities:

* Own the cash products risk monitoring activities at the firm;
* Have a deep understanding of the Firm-wide risk exposure to cash products risks;
* Raise key risk issues and concerns to appropriate business line management and the Head of Market Risk;
* Develop relationships and maintain direct contact with leaders of key business lines and other risk management functions to enhance the monitoring and measuring of risk.

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate for this position would possess the following characteristics:

* Masters degree in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent work experience;
* 10 or more years of extensive risk management experience at a senior level within the financial services industry;
* Deep expertise across major cash asset classes such as equities and bonds;
* Prior exposure to modeling of issuer risk and credit analysis desirable
* Experience managing a team a big plus
* Strong Project Management skills

* Ability to communicate effectively at senior levels (verbally and in writing);
* Proven ability to work on detailed technical issues;
* Demonstrated ability to work across teams and in a collaborative environment;
* Mature consulting skills - self-awareness, ability to listen actively, build strong relationships at all levels;
* Honest, credible and professional personality with tact and self-confidence, an inquiring and highly analytical mindset and the ability to probe and challenge existing assumptions.
