A growing, dynamic investment company is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join the existing back office staff. This person will head the accounting and operations function of the firm’s fund of hedge funds business, reporting to the firm’s Director of Operations. The job involves managing three other individuals as well as conducting searches for additional staff members as appropriate. This is a key role for the company as it consists of oversight of and responsibility for all of the day-to-day tasks associated with the company’s investment accounting and operations functions. This person will also be integrally involved in the further development of the firm’s infrastructure. This is a great opportunity for someone with the requisite skills who also is up for the challenge of an entrepreneurial environment.


The Firm
The Firm operates a $2.0 billion fund of hedge funds business from its headquarters in New York City.
The firm was founded by senior investors out of two top tier alternative investment groups and consists of a 22-person team with high level investing and operational experience at firms like Moore Capital, HBK, and Goldman Sachs. Qualifications
Qualified applicants must have outstanding written and oral communication skills and should be smart, dedicated, hard-working, proactive, trustworthy, highly detail-sensitive and a team player.
We expect that applicants will have shown superior academic performance and have at least 10 years’ experience in investment operations and/or accounting.
The best candidates will have an accounting background, excellent computer
and spreadsheet skills, and experience with trade settlements, money movement, transaction reconciliations and banking relationships.
This person will also be expected to have managerial experience and must exhibit the ability to lead, train, motivate and advance the careers of staff members.

Job Description
Oversee processing of fund administrator’s monthly net asset value calculations
Oversee reconciliation of fund cash and portfolio balances, payables and receivables, and shareholder records and activity
Oversee preparation and distribution of full schedule of reports to investors
Oversee processing of monthly portfolio and investor subscription and redemption transactions
Oversee calculation and processing of fees and other payments
Oversee provision of data and report support for internal marketing group; respond to investor queries
Manage annual fund financial statement audit process and related tax statement preparation
Manage service provider relationships
Manage and build staff including department resource analysis, search oversight, staff training and staff review
Research, plan and lead various infrastructure initiatives
