Accounting Manager
Our client is a global leader, producing the finest luxury goods available in the market today. Due to exponential growth and expanding global presence, they are seeking a dynamic and driven accounting professional to contribute to the growth of the brand. This is an outstanding opportunity for an Accounting Manager to join their corporate office in NY.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Implementation of accounting policies and procedures, internal controls and tax compliance and supervision of the accounting team.
- Accounting close and reporting processes, including month end close and management reporting, to ensure that financial reports are prepared and submitted in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure timely and quality account analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers.
- Provide that expenses follow all domestic and international reporting guidelines, and expenses that require use tax are identified and reported
- Audit Vendor invoices, review for proper coding, authorization, sales tax and use tax treatment, proper 1099 and 1042 reporting
- Manage transactions from accounts payable department
- Oversee implementations of systems controls in addition to new processes and procedures
The Successful Candidate Will Maintain the Following:
- Retail/Wholesale experience
- High level experience in general accounting
- Financial reporting capabilities
- AP experience
- 6-10 years working experience with substantial corporation
- Auditing experience a major plus
- Microsoft Excel capabilities
