Senior Counsel
A top-tier European financial services firm is looking for a Senior Counsel to join their team in New York. This Counsel will provide advisory support to the Wholesale Banking Division, which offers corporate banking products and services including M&A advisory, loan syndication, securitization, lending, and leveraged finance.

This Counsel will:
- Manage legal risks relating to the capital markets business, including reviewing and negotiating legal documentation, with focus on derivatives, specialized finance, other complex transactions and CDO/RMBS related litigation;
- Advise the Bank on the implementation of and operation under the Dodd-Frank Act;
- Manage the work of external counsel;
- Advise on securities laws, potential new products, and structured asset portfolio;
- Focus on portfolio work-out, restructuring and litigation with respect to the bank portfolio;
- Manage the ISDA documentation specialists
Education and Skills
- BA and JD
- 8-10 years with experience in:
- Preparing and negotiating legal documentation for transactional matters;
- Advising in connection therewith and in connection with broker-dealer matters;
- Complex structured transaction experience, non-recourse finance experience, securities law knowledge, broker-dealer knowledge, Dodd Frank knowledge, and proficiency in derivatives and repo documentation;
- Must be a member in good standing of the New York State Bar
